Yours By Design is a home decorating business based in Chester County, Pennsylvania. We opened in 2001.
We specialize in custom window treatments, bedding, and upholstery.
Additionally, we have excellent resources for wallpaper, interior painting, and decorative/faux painting.
We decorate homes (and the occasional small business) across Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Lancaster, and Berks Counties. We would also be interested in decorating your Jersey Shore vacation home.

Between us, we have over 20 years experience in the home decorating business. We met in 1997 while working at a competitor and quickly realized that our decorating tastes and talents were complementary.
Plus, we have a great time working together!

Making a decorating decision is not easy. We can help.
We come to your home. We listen. It is very important that we build a comfortable rapport with you and help you find your own unique style.
A typical visit lasts about 1 hour. We bring fabric samples, plus photos and drawings of various styles. We discuss options and provide recommendations that will “fit” within your home and within your tastes.

Based upon your choices, we submit a proposal to you with specific pricing and timing. We are happy to split larger projects into multiple phases.
We accept credit card transactions.

Custom Bedding Promotion
We are currently offering a custom bedding sale, to include comforters, duvets, pillow shams and bedskirts.If you have been waiting for the right time to update your master bedroom, don't delay!
Through the end of April 2013, fabric and labor will be discounted 20% for bedding. If you also purchase window treatments for your bedroom, we will extend the fabric and labor discount to those additional items.

This section will give you a general guideline of how custom window treatments are priced.There are many variables such as fabric and trim choice, hardware choice, etc.
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.

Panels
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.Panels up to 100” - $80.00 per panel/ $160.00 per pair.
Fabric requirements are 6-7.5 yards depending on fabric length and repeat.
Swags and Cascades
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.Swags & Cascades (up to 40” long) - $300.00-$320.00 depending on actual window size.
Fabric requirement is approximately 4-5 yards depending on cascade length and fabric repeat.
Cornice Boards
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.Cornice Boards - $280.00.
Fabric requirement is approximately 3 yards.
Push-On Valances
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.Push-On Valances - $150.00 to $180.00.
Fabric requirement is approximately 2-4 yards.
Board Mounted Treatments
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.Board Mounted Treatments - $240.00 to $320.00.
Fabric requirement is approximately 4-5 yards.
Roman Shades
The following is a basic guideline for labor only based on a 48” window.Roman Shades – Operational roman shade pricing is based on square footage.
For a 48” X 48” window, the cost is $450.00. Fabric requirement is approximately 2 yards.

How It Works

Storefront Program
Introduction

Digital Photo Frame
• Yours By Design provides a large digital photo frame for display in your store. This frame is approximately 8x10 inches in size and plugs into a power outlet.• The digital photo frame displays an extensive color slideshow of many of our completed projects, something like this:
Customer Flyers
• In addition, Yours By Design provides a template that can be used to create customer flyers.• This template contains many pictures and describes Yours By Design's complete range of in-home services. It can be printed (customized with your branding and phone number) at local printing shops, such as Kinkos.
Store Decoration
• We can discuss arrangements for displaying sample treatments on the windows or walls of your store. See photo for such an example.• Such treatments can be provided at excellent pricing.
• Such samples can be made to coordinate with and enhance your shop's decor.
Handling Customers
• We would not be expecting store personnel to become window treatment experts!• Yours By Design will provide your staff with basic understanding of how to react to initial customer inquiries.
Topics would include: (a) General decorating services provided; and (b) How the overall process would work.
• If a customer is interested in further information, you gather their contact information (on a simple form that we provide).
• Call or email us with the information. We will contact the customer within 24 hours.
Business Relationship
• We discuss and establish a referral fee based on a given percentage of any work that we contract with the customer.• You receive a copy of every customer proposal.
• Every two weeks (or however often you would like), we provide you with information on the status of open proposals and work-in-progress.
• You are paid the referral fee when the given work is completed and delivered to the customer.
